Florida Adventure Travel Vacations
from:Yet another hot destination for adventure travel vacations is Florida. As you will find on many sites and in many travel books, Florida is not just the land of Mickey Mouse. There are thousands of acres of wilderness areas, making Florida a booming center for ecotourism. Indeed, the Everglades are one of the largest and most well-preserved wetlands in the country, boasting a wide array of protected wildlife.
Bicycling, sea kayaking, remote hiking, boating, and fishing are options on Florida adventure travel vacations that will take you into the heart of the Everglades and present you with the gift of life altering experiences. Enjoy eco-tours on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. The Everglades wildlife will surround you and you will feel transported into another world, more natural and pure than anything you’ve felt before.
In the panhandle area of the state, pristine forests offer different terrain for mountain biking, hiking and camping on Florida adventure travel vacations. If water, rather than terrain, is what you like, you can also find an enormous wealth of water activities in Florida, seeing as how this state is bathed by the Atlantic on the east and by the Gulf of Mexico in the west. Scuba diving is practically the state hobby, while for those more adventurous folk, cave diving is an option on Florida adventure travel vacations. You can sail, fish, swim with dolphins, snorkel with manatees, and of course, where there are waves, there will be surfers.
Perhaps a ranch stay is more to your liking. Relax on a porch swing or wooden rockers, immersed in beautiful scenery and wildlife. Go on an eco-tour on horseback or simply gallop along the beach. Take a hot air balloon ride over Disney World, or other scenic locations, or experience being a Gatorland or Seaworld trainer for a day. Take advantage of a novel type of tour experience, the Segway tours, during which you whisk around Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Epcot Center or the Naples waterfront on a two-wheeled transportation device that runs on rechargeable batteries. There are a variety of Segway tour locations to choose from.
For information on Florida adventure travel vacations, check out the Internet first. Hop into your local bookstore or library to browse through travel publications, like books or magazines. Don’t forget to check out as many reviews as possible on any destination or agency you choose to make sure nothing highly negative has been said. Whichever of the many Florida adventure travel vacations you choose, it will be a most satisfying and life altering experience.
