Where to find apartments in Tuscany
Countryside. The Tuscan farm areas are dotted with apartments for rent. If you make your reservations early, you have a good chance of landing a spacious unit for a low price. Look in the Upper Maremma and Siena area vicinities. Some apartment deals come with free breakfast, but most require you to do the cooking yourself. Most apartment blocks have swimming pools.

Hilltops. Go farther up and you will find baietiful villas that have been subdivided into apartments. Choose a spot in Grosseto if you want access to Saturnia, to the Petriolo hot springs, Etruscan Empire region, to the beaches of Argentario, or to Mount Amiata. Grosseto is a great place to stay in, especially if you like taking long, quiet walks amidst castles. The area is also perfect of your want to go olive oil tasting. Ask the apartment keeper or the locals about the schedules of organized olive oil tasting events, and also inquire about where you could buy tickets to visit olive groves and presses (available during certain times of the year).
