Our Trip To Sicily - Summer 2007

This summer I went for a 3 week trip to beautiful Sicily together with my wife and 22 year old son.
Well... actually we went from Norway to Neaples by plane, hired a car and drove down the eastern coast of Calabria.
We had a stop in Lido di Catanzaro for two nights.
From there we went directly to Giardini Naxos where we had 8 superb days at the beach and also visited Taormina for a couple of days..
Next we went to the ancient town Cefalù on the Northern coast. This was also a pleasant stay and we also spent a nice day
driving up into the montains visiting Corleone... Mostly known from 'The Godfather' but also a nice city to visit and there are
many cultural treasures to explore (such as several churches and museums).
On our way back to Neaples we drove the Western coast of Calabria and had 3 nights in the old city Amantea. We were supersaturated
by all the mighty impressions we had before this so we just decided to enjoy the last couple of our Italian holidays at the beach.
We had two unforgettable days where we explored the mighty Mediterranean waves! Not without risk but very fun!!
